The Austrian engineering company mechatronic systemtechnik gmbh is causing a major stir with a machine that can deliver a flow rate of at least 400 wafers per hour: the PT 300 can pack wafers > 50μm using contactless end effectors.
Commenting on this exceptionally high flow rate performance; CEO Walter Schober stated: “The reason for the enormous acceleration in the packing process is the completely novel configuration of the material and shipping boxes so that ourPT 300 saves valuable time
that is usually lost here.”
The new PT 300 packer also requires 65% less operator area, as it is operated and loadedfrom the front. Therefore all areas necessary for the operator are accessible from one side.When the tool is installed in the clean room wall, a space saving of 72% in clean room areacan be achieved and in this case all service tasks can be carried out from outside the cleanroom.
The PT 300 complies with Clean Room Class 10.
